Philosophy
The Landlord, Josh Eggleton, a young exciting Chef with a pedigree that saw him win the Gordon Ramsay Scholarship in 2003, has a desire to keep the Compton Inn at the heart of the village community.
To that end you will find, along with a varied menu of expertly prepared local produce, many themed evenings, a light lunch menu, mid-week specials and a fine selection of Beers and Ciders, together with a broad choice of fine Wines.
We consider ourselves privileged to be part of the local community, to take active role in the many events they work to hard to organise.
We welcome all, from the many ramblers, riders and field sportsmen who congregate at the Compton Inn on a regular basis, to customers new and old who take the time to seek us out.
